How it works
- Open MediRecords settings and go to Partner Products > Coviu Telehealth.
- Click Connect to Coviu, sign in with your Coviu credentials and authorise the integration.
- Configure which providers in your practice will use telehealth.
- In the Appointments settings, edit or create an appointment type and enable Telehealth. Save the changes!
- MediRecords automatically generates a Coviu session link and sends it to the patient via the usual invitation process.
- The patient clicks the link and joins the video or phone consult through their browser. No download or extra login needed.

Do patients need to download software to join a consult?
No. Patients join via their web browser and do not need to create extra accounts.
Can we offer phone consultations as well as video?
Yes. Coviu supports both video calls and phone-based telehealth sessions.
Will consults logged in Coviu show up in MediRecords?
The integration handles scheduling and linking of the appointment. The session invitation and booking live in MediRecords. However, notes or documents from the Coviu call do not automatically sync back to the record.
Who needs a Coviu account?
The practice must have an active Coviu subscription. Administrators set up telehealth providers and link the account in MediRecords.
