Why MediRecords for Admitted Care
The MediRecords Admissions module brings clinical, administrative, and operational teams together in a single connected workflow.
- Unify pre-admission, emergency, inpatient, and discharge processes
- Gain real-time visibility of beds, transfers, and patient status
- Improve collaboration across departments
- Connect outpatient, admitted, and emergency care in one unified workflow for a complete patient journey.
For Health and Care organisations that want to avoid the cost and complexity of a large enterprise EMR, MediRecords provides a flexible, scalable, and affordable alternative.
Integrated workflows
The admissions module is designed to bridge the gap between primary and admitted care by providing a single, integrated care platform.
Key benefits of our integrated workflows include:
- Streamlined integration with our primary care platform providing instant access to essential patient information such as past medical history, prior diagnosis, treatment/procedures, current medications, admission history, allergies, and more.
- Enhanced communication between outpatient and inpatient care teams, supporting better continuity of care.
- Customisable patient lists and workflows means MediRecords can be adapted to suits the needs of your role or workplace.
Ward, Room & Bed Configuration
Easily manage wards, rooms, and beds across your facility with real-time visibility of capacity and resource allocation. Whether it’s emergency, virtual, general medical, or any admitted care setting, this capability enhances patient safety, improves resource use, and streamlines workflows.
Admission Summary Dashboard
Get a real-time overview of each patient’s status in a single view, including admission details, observations, escalations, progress notes, fluid balance, and last administered medications.
This reduces time spent clicking through the record, by showing the most current clinical information at a glance.
The Dashboard improves team coordination and ensures care decisions are based on the most recent and accurate data, supporting safer outcomes.
Charting
- ADDS (Adult Deterioration Detection System) - Easily capture and visualise observations via charts and graphs with colour-coded thresholds highlighting patient deterioration and real-time intervention alerts.
- Fluid Balance - Accurately monitor fluid intake and output, providing a visualisation of the patient's fluid status, which is essential for post-operative care and chronic disease management.
- Neurovascular - A thorough assessment for neurovascular observations supports clinicians in early detection of risk of damage to limbs and is crucial for trauma and post-operative care.
Progress Notes
Keep every clinician aligned with real-time, digital progress notes that are accessible across the Care Team. From doctors and nurses to allied health, all disciplines can contribute to a single, up-to-date record of care.
Progress Notes update instantly and can be viewed by any authorised clinician, ensuring decisions are based on the most current information. Shared documentation supports teamwork across disciplines and shifts, improving communication and reducing duplication.
Structured templates support clear, consistent documentation while saving time at the point of care.
A complete record follows the patient from admission to discharge, capturing the full care journey in one place.
